Michael Kern

I can not claim to be a native Texan, but my family relocated here when I was just a child from Atlanta, GA. I grew up on Galveston Island, located on the Texas coast, where I enjoyed all the things island life had to offer, from the beaches to the bays. My family is deep rooted in the maritime industry and as such I am a fourth generation merchant mariner who holds a USCG masters license to this day. I became a licensed Realtor in 2006 while living in the Galveston area, representing beach style and water front homes. In 2010 I purchased a small business in the marine industry, which I still own, that relocated my wife and I to the Austin/Lake Travis area. Several years later I acquired another lakeside business, which I recently sold. The sale of that business propelled me back into the real estate industry here in the Austin/Lake Travis area where I recently joined the Highlands Realty team.
